I've been following this forum already for many years, so I think now it is time to introduce myself.
My name is Paavo Pernu, I'm 51 years old slednut, originally from Kemijärvi, but have lived in västra Finland, quite close to Björneborg for three decades already. My first experience of snowmobiling is from the mid sixties, when I was given a ride on a Arctic Cat 560D, you know, that side-by-side-seated, rear-engined red and white monster with a real steering wheel and so on. After that, nothing much happened until 1976, when my late Dad bought a '71 Rajd S200. What a beast!
I was 13 years old at that time and you can just imagine how many liters of gasoline was spent with that sled, always finding some reason to have a ride. I still have that Rajd, it needs a total restoration, though. Nowadays im hooked with Cats, here's a picture of my Tiggers... the one on the left is planned to be raced on ice, hopefully I can get it ready for Rovaniemi, April 4th 2015.
